Never a sales pro nor one to sing my own praises — and never adept at multi-tasking — I nonetheless know it’s 100% necessary to put on my marketing hat, and it’s essential to toot my own horn (so to speak).
Writing my heart out for my clients and hearing, “Awesome job! Thanks so much!” will never get old. Spending so much time at my computer does grow tiresome, however, so when the work is delivered, I move away from the computer — only to find myself far removed from self-promotion exercises like blogging, sending newsletters, picking up the phone to find writing gigs, and networking to meet potential new clients.
While some fellow copywriters find themselves in the same boat, many others are masterful multi-taskers and find it’s a breeze to attract new clients. One day, I’ll be masterful at blogging and sending newsletters and attending networking events to ensure my “pipeline” is always full.
In the meantime, I’m looking for a few meaningful client engagements. Let me know how I can help you. I’ll write what you need and I’ll deliver on time and on budget. (Clients always come first; my blogging and self-promotion can wait.)
